Leigh Johnson teaches the Interiors, Fashion & Textiles pathway at Berrien High School in Berrien County, where her students love hands-on projects like trash bag couture, shoebox bedroom designs, and creating original T-shirts using Shibori dyeing techniques. She has 18 years of experience in Family and Consumer Sciences, having taught both middle school and the Nutrition & Food Science pathway.
Leigh is a former GATFACS President and was named Teacher of the Year in 2021. Fun fact: Leigh is truly a product of the program—she served as an FHA State Officer, and her mother did too!
