I began my teaching career at Statesboro High School where I taught the Early Childhood Education pathway and the four-year-old preschool program simultaneously. Over the past 15 years, I have served as an FCCLA adviser, CTAE department head, member of the GATFACS board PR committee, new teacher mentor, member of the leadership team at the school level, CTAE teacher leader team at the district level, and now as president-elect of GATFACS. In my current position as work-based learning coordinator, I have the ability to help all CTAE students find jobs that are related to their pathway. Helping FACS students connect their skills and knowledge from the classroom to a job has been one of the many highlights of my current position.
