The Georgia Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (GATFACS) is a division of Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education (GACTE). GACTE is a unified state affiliate of the national Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE) organization. Members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously. Included in your $130 membership dues is membership in ACTE ($80), GACTE($35), and one division of your choice($15). Additional Georgia divisions may be added for $15.

Professional membership – Individuals actively employed in or concerned with career and technical education. Professional members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously and benefit from involvement at both the local and national level. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve as officers, serve on committees, and participate as a delegate.
Retired membership – Retired membership is available for individuals who are retired from active employment in a CTE field, have been active in ACTE for at least one year and wish to remain active in the CTE community (and we welcome their expertise!). Retired members cannot be employed either full or part time. Retired members must notify ACTE should they regain employment and renew at the professional membership rate. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve on committees and participate as a delegate.
